Pasadena RV & Boat Parking Rules (2026): What You Need to Know

Pasadena Municipal Code Chapter 10.52 regulates the parking of oversized and commercial vehicles on public streets. Vehicles exceeding 22 feet in length, 7 feet in height (measured from ground to highest point), or 80 inches in width are classified as oversized and may not be parked on public streets in residential zones. This includes recreational vehicles, motorhomes, boats on trailers, utility trailers, and large commercial vehicles.

On private property, oversized vehicles must be stored in enclosed garages, carports, or behind solid screening fences in the side or rear yard so they are not visible from the public right-of-way. The zoning code further regulates storage: in single-family residential zones, only one recreational vehicle may be stored on a lot and it must be behind the front building line. Temporary parking for active loading or unloading is permitted for up to 48 hours. Abandoned or inoperable vehicles on public streets are subject to immediate citation and towing.
