Inglewood's outdoor music and amplified sound regulations fall under Chapter 5, Article 2 of the Municipal Code. IMC Section 5-29 specifically prohibits playing loud music or making loud noises that disturb the peace and quiet of neighbors, including playing radios, speakers, or other audio equipment loudly while operating motor vehicles. The ordinance applies at all hours but is most strictly enforced during quiet hours (10 PM to 7 AM).

For organized events, amplified sound must comply with the city's noise regulations. Outdoor events with amplified sound generally require conditional approval from the Permits and Licenses Committee, and applicants may be required to hire professional security and manage noise readings. The city has specific tailgating provisions related to SoFi Stadium and the Kia Forum: tailgating with amplified sound is restricted to start no earlier than 7:00 AM or four hours before the event, whichever is earlier, and must end one hour after the event.
